With more than 45 years of economic development success, we are the primary resource and first-point of contact for any business or individual considering an investment in Saratoga County, New York. SEDC works collaboratively with state, regional and local government on economic development programs currently available for targeted sectors that will encourage investment in our existing industries, attraction of new business, the creation of new and permanent full-time jobs and the opportunity of complementary business development operations. In our 43+ year history, SEDC has been and continues to be a driving force for economic growth in Saratoga County and the Greater Capital Region of New York State.
SEDC is responsible for the attraction of major industrial businesses like Ball Metal Corporation, Hexion, QUAD/Graphics, State Farm Insurance, SYSCO Food Service, Ace Hardware and Target Distribution Centers, Saratoga Eagle, Arnoff Global Logistics and more recently, Greenfield Manufacturing and AgroChem, In the early 2000s, SEDC was the driving force in the development of the $200 million Luther Forest Technology Campus, (LFTC) and the attraction of AMD, which later became GLOBAL FOUNDRIES, a multi-billion dollar semiconductor foundry which is creating thousands of jobs in Saratoga County, NY. SEDC has helped to generate more than 18,500 new jobs, $18 billion in investment and $43 million in annual tax revenue for Saratoga County, NY.
