Please consider providing your sponsorship support for an event that invests in your business while simultaneously invests in the future workforce in our region.

The Saratoga-Warren-Washington Workforce Development Board (SWWWDB), Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex (WSWHE) BOCES and the Saratoga County Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) are pleased to host Career Jam to be held on October 22, 2019, from 8:30am through 2:30pm at the Saratoga Springs City Center.

About Career Jam

Career Jam is an innovative workforce development approach to promote your business or organization to your future workforce.

Career Jam is designed as a hands-on career exploration event targeting 8th and 9th grade students from the local public schools throughout the region. Employers representing diverse “Career Clusters” provide valuable interactive activities as well as industry and company specific information designed to engage and inform students while piquing their interest to pursue the abundance of promising job and career possibilities available in this region.

Sponsoring Career Jam will:

  • Align your brand with local workforce solutions
  • Provide a platform to engage the students from around the region to fill your workforce pipeline
  • Deliver new connections and collaborations with school districts
  • Invest in your business while simultaneously investing in the future workforce

Students, teachers, faculty and volunteers from around the region participate in this region’s “first of its kind” approach to capture the interest and expand youths’ awareness of the plethora of opportunities for employment across industry sectors that exist in our area. Not two companies are the same; nor are two students. This event is geared to “tap the minds” of our future workforce and reinforce that every skill level and/or career choice can be employed here.

Each school district will receive a Career Jam Guidebook, an ongoing workforce solutions tool that provides a road-map on how to continue collaborating with local businesses throughout the year. This tool equips school districts with business contacts and suggestions on how to continue fostering key relationships. Likewise, school districts will receive a Career Jam Guidebook to further their workforce development solutions by connecting willing businesses to school districts and workforce opportunities.
